Soul founder Corran Addison grew up canoe touring in the far reaches of the Kalahari desert as a child. Weeks long expeditions down class 2-3 Whitewater, long meandering stretches of gentle current through the wilds of Africa is what kindered a lifelong love for rivers.
It was the desire to revisit those simpler times, combined with Soul's roots as a Canadian company, that led to the creation of the Ka.Ron: the Mohawk word for flowing current.
Traditional in styling, sporting a hull that balances the need of distance paddling, easy Whitewater use, and load bearing, with a fully functional cockpit rim for spray deck use if needed, it's constructed with our Hilex 16 to make it as light and tough as possible.
